MOHE Health Tracking App
"Redefining mobile health technology"
Problem
In 2016, my grandfather fell off the stairs while getting up at night. The caregiver was not aware and did not respond to the situation immediately. Many family members were worried and concerned for situations like this. Since we cannot always be next to the people who we care about, how can we monitor their wellness and respond to emergency situations? There are many home health monitoring devices and fitness trackers that take different measures. However, how can we monitor and centralize all these health measures in one place?
Result
MOHE is stands for "MObile HEalth" tracker. MOHE is an all-in-one health monitor app that, coupled with a wearable wristband, centralizes all health data without the hassle of having multiple apps and wearing different monitor devices.
Challenges
The biggest challenges for this project is to determine which measures are important for tracking health data and to create an UI that is easy to comprehend without looking like the traditional medical device interfaces.

1 | Design Question
2 | Research
Based on market research, existing health monitor apps are offered by various hardware companies that require users to become part of their ecosystem. These health monitors often track similar data with only a few differences, depending on the wearable technology. It is difficult and goes against intuition to purchase different wearable devices to tracks different data and use different apps to monitor and track such data.
Key Findings
Retail fitness trackers focus on progress tracking and receiving notifications for the user
Multiple devices from different brands tracking different vital measurements
Completely independent ecosystem between existing products
Users want to know if their friends and family require medical attention

Brand Style Guide
In approaching this app design, I chose colors that are youthful, positive, and trustworthy. Turquoise and yellow became my top choices because, from a color psychology perspective, green and blue symbolize trust and care, and yellow signifies energy and youth. In addition, I used a gradient background and applied gradient colors to key elements to stand out from traditional medical apps that are more conservative in design.
For the app layout, the visual presentation has to be quick to read and quick to understand because people who use this app are very busy with work and family so they will not have time to read and scroll through text and documents. As a result, the layout is inspired by dashboards that highlight important figures at the primary overview level and gives more detailed information at the secondary level.
